About Our Journey
At Alpine Auto Detail, detailing isn’t just a service — it’s a story of passion, family values, and relentless dedication to quality.
My name is Mark, and my journey started in a hardworking migrant household. After moving from Ukraine in 1999, my family did everything ourselves — hiring help just wasn’t an option. My dad, a determined and resourceful man, always taught us the value of hard work. He’d learn new skills just to save a few dollars, and he showed us that no task was beneath us if it meant taking care of what we had.
Naturally, I was put in charge of cleaning his cars — and I took pride in doing it well. I’ve always had a drive to improve, so I started watching YouTube videos to learn better techniques: the two-bucket wash method, clay bar treatments, scratch removal, stain removal and how to use an air compressor to deep-clean interiors.
Over time, I realized I could offer this same service to others — and people actually needed it and would pay for it! In high school, I loaded up my first car, a Volkswagen Rabbit, with supplies and started detailing for clients after school. I did that every day for three years. That hustle went on for three years, and by age 17, it paid off.
At 17, I bought one of my dream cars: a 2009 Toyota 4Runner. I couldn’t afford a perfect one, so I found one at auction that had been in a collision. It needed serious work, but a year later, I had it rebuilt and customized exactly how I wanted. I made that happen through detailing — and the work ethic it taught me.
Then I discovered paint correction and ceramic coatings — and that opened up a whole new world. I trained with industry leaders Jonathan Monson and Jason Kilmer at Dirty2Dreamy, just minutes from my home. Their hands-on training elevated my skills dramatically. I also spent two years in a high school auto body program, which gave me a solid foundation in vehicle care and restoration like body work, wet sanding, dent repair, painting, etc.
After training, I was hired at Dirty2Dreamy and spent a year working alongside professionals, where I refined my detailing, business, communication, and leadership skills. That experience helped shape the way I now run Alpine Auto Detail, and what it takes to truly deliver an exceptional client experience.
